Rigoletto's Cafe - A YEG Classic

Dangles, Bucky and Moo
Once located in the old Corona building prior to being demolished, Rigoletto's Cafe has long held a place in Edmontonians hearts. Luckily, they were able to find a new space not too far from their original location.

Stopping by with my pal Dangles and Bucky for lunch on a Thursday, the place was packed to the rafters. Not having had the foresight to make a reservation, we had to settle for a seat at the bar. Rigolletto's offers a variety of Italian fare, from the classic bruschetta to their very own signature creations such as Angel Hair Sergio.

Bruschetta
When stopping in, remember that their portion sizes are incredibly generous and two people could likely split a plate of pasta. Having said that, I wound up ordering both a bruschetta appetizer and the linguini sergio.

The bruschetta was piled high with plump, juicy tomatoes, crispy, crunchy onions, meaty olives, making for a delectable appetizer that could have served as a small meal if one was feeling only peckish. Although it had a  touch too much olive oil, it was delicious none the less.

Linguini Sergio
The linguini sergio was lightly coated with olive oil, topped high with tomatoes.  Resting aloft was a large portion of blackened, spicy chicken cooked to perfection, allowing the protein to shine. You certainly get value for your dollar dining here, with a pasta portion that was large enough for three meals for this moo.

This timeless restaurant offers value for money, quick service, and classic fare. Just remember to make a reservation if you're coming for lunch!
