Best bread ever! |
After having a
lovely afternoon tea experience at
Le Salon de The de Joel Robuchon, we decided to try out their location at
The Landmark for lunch. Oddly enough on a weekend afternoon, it was fairly easy to get a table just by walking in. Unlike their location at the
IFC Mall,
The Landmark location was semi enclosed allowing them to serve liquor so I was able to order a glass of bubbly to enjoy with lunch. The restaurant itself also seems more like a restaurant with the majority of their tables inside a semi enclosed area, while they had a few tables down the hallway overlooking the atrium in the middle of
The Landmark.

Feeb Filet |
The female human opted for a feeb filet *Moofaint* and thought it was strange that they didn’t bring out a steak knife. However, it turned out it was simply confidence that the steak would be so tender that no steak knife would be required and they were right. Using only a butter knife, she easily cut through the filet, enjoying it with the incredibly creamy and rich mashed potatoes it was served with.

Chocolate Sensation |
For dessert, I opted for the chocolate sensation, which consisted of chocolate ice cream on top of chocolate mousse. The chocolate mousse was made of mildly bitter dark chocolate and light as air. The ice cream was not overly sweet, and combined with the velvety chocolate mousse and crispy chocolate bits sprinkled atop the whole dessert, it was a perfectly balanced chocolate dessert.
Lunch was moolicious, high quality food but reasonably priced. I highly recommend trying
Le Salon de The de Joel Robuchon at lunch if you want to experience one of the Joel Robuchon restaurants but without the high price tag.
