Superbly Simple Ice Cream at Village Ice Cream

Village Ice Cream
Tucked away in what looks like an area mostly filled with warehouses is Village Ice Cream. Once you find it, you can’t miss it with it’s bright yellow siding. Although it’s a small space, they do have outdoor seating.

They have a list of flavors that are always available indicated in white, as well as a list of ice cream flavors that are seasonal. The staff was incredibly friendly and encouraged us to try as many flavors as we liked before committing to a larger serving. The Phil and Sebastian Coffee ice cream tasted like a cup of coffee with cream, and the cardamom flavor was purely cardamom flavored.
Menu
We settle on two scoops apiece, and opt for Village Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, Strawberry and Huckleberry. The portion sizes were extremely generous, with one scoop filling up the cup, two scoops were overflowing – they do not skimp on the portions here!

Chocolate and Village Vanilla Bean
The chocolate ice cream tastes like dark chocolate, well balanced, and not overly sweet. The vanilla beans in the Village Vanilla Bean are very prominent. The strawberry was refreshing and not too sweet. They use fresh strawberries and concentrate them in white balsamic, the flecks of strawberry seeds would help confirm the use of real strawberries for any naysayers.

The huckleberry started off mildly sweet, and finished with a light acidity. Lastly the salted caramel that we went back for later that weekend was amoozing! It starts off with a subtle caramel flavor, and finishes with a hit of salt, which only enhances the caramel flavoring. All of the ice creams were extremely creamy, rich, and satisfyingly filling.
Strawberry and Huckleberry
If you’re seeking a frozen treat that will hit the spot, give Village Ice Cream a whirl, they won’t disappoint!
