I love Vietnamese food, particularly spring rolls and Vietnamese Iced Coffee, so I knew that I had to check out Lemongrass Grill at some point. They have a fairly extensive menu ranging from smaller items such as spring rolls and skewers to heartier fare such as Vietnamese Grilled Subs, otherwise known as banh mi.I wound up ordering the pork spring rolls, a bahn mi and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The pork spring rolls were a bit dry inside and could have used a bit more seasoning, but I quite enjoyed the banh mi. There was a nice amount of pate spread on the bun, lots of crisp vegetables, topped with well-seasoned and moist chicken. Their banh mi can be served with a variety of proteins including chicken, pork, feeb *eek!* and tofu.
Lastly the Vietnamese iced coffee is usually the one thing I’m most critical of at a Vietnamese restaurant. If you don’t know what Vietnamese iced coffee is, it’s simply coffee brewed dark with a metal French drip filter into a cup containing sweetened condensed milk. Once the coffee has brewed into the cup, it is stirred together with the sweetened condensed milk and poured over ice. It’s a very strong cup of coffee but delightfully sweet and creamy. Lemongrass Grill’s coffee did not disappoint and they sweeten the coffee to your liking.Overall, I was not disappointed and I was particularly happy with their Vietnamese iced coffee. If you’ve never tried a banh mi or a Vietnamese iced coffee, hit up Lemongrass Grill and give theirs a go!
