Go Vietnamese with Lemongrass Grill

I love Vietnamese food, particularly spring rolls and Vietnamese Iced Coffee, so I knew that I had to check out Lemongrass Grill at some point. They have a fairly extensive menu ranging from smaller items such as spring rolls and skewers to heartier fare such as Vietnamese Grilled Subs, otherwise known as banh mi.

I wound up ordering the pork spring rolls, a bahn mi and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The pork spring rolls were a bit dry inside and could have used a bit more seasoning, but I quite enjoyed the banh mi. There was a nice amount of pate spread on the bun, lots of crisp vegetables, topped with well-seasoned and moist chicken. Their banh mi can be served with a variety of proteins including chicken, pork, feeb *eek!* and tofu.

Lastly the Vietnamese iced coffee is usually the one thing I’m most critical of at a Vietnamese restaurant. If you don’t know what Vietnamese iced coffee is, it’s simply coffee brewed dark with a metal French drip filter into a cup containing sweetened condensed milk. Once the coffee has brewed into the cup, it is stirred together with the sweetened condensed milk and poured over ice. It’s a very strong cup of coffee but delightfully sweet and creamy. Lemongrass Grill’s coffee did not disappoint and they sweeten the coffee to your liking.

Overall, I was not disappointed and I was particularly happy with their Vietnamese iced coffee. If you’ve never tried a banh mi or a Vietnamese iced coffee, hit up Lemongrass Grill and give theirs a go!
