Confit Duck and Goat Cheese Eggs Bendict |
Lobster Poached Omlet |
The butter poached lobster omelet came with wilted greens, fresh cheese, chives, and grilled toast. The omelet itself was fluffy and was filled with creamy cheese and buttery succulent lobster. The confit duck and goat cheese eggs benedict was served on a house made cheese biscuit with wilted greens and hollandaise sauce. The biscuit was fresh and moist, with a hint of cheese, but was very large, almost too large for the eggs benedict as there was more biscuit than egg, confit duck or goat cheese combined. The egg was perfectly soft poached and oozing, the duck confit was juicy and tender, and the whole thing worked well together. The only thing lacking was they could have used more goat cheese and it was very sparse. Their house made smoked ketchup was very nice, smoky, and not too sweet, perfectly complimenting the crispy potatoes.
Overall it was a tasty and hearty meal with no chance of anyone leaving hungry. If you’re looking for brunch and are feeling more than a might puckish, this might be the place for you.
